Subj: Rock Climbing anyone?

Anyone here do any rock climbing?
Is there a rock climbing list?

Subj: Re: Rock Climbing anyone?

Regarding discussions on rock climbing ... There are occasional
discussions on this list and I have been able to get some information
about specific climbing areas from a general call for information. The
list is not very active however. Is it well known?? Other than getting
hard-to-get info on certain climbing areas or ranges, I doubt there
would be much info available other than what is available in current
magazines like CLIMBING, Rock & Ice, etc.

I just got on this list because I like to climb and I'm looking for
like-minded people to talk about climbing with,..
Oh well,..

Subj: Re: Rock Climbing anyone?

I just signed onto the list also. My interests are rock climbing and
mountaineering. I'm sure there must be others interested in the former.

Here is another try! What is the closest rock climbing to Indianapolis,
IN? Any suggestions to explore during an early June visit to Indy?

Subj: Re: Rock Climbing anyone?

I have found this list to provide both general and specific information
that has been very helpful. I have also downloaded all the old logs.

Indoor there is a wall at Castleton Galayn's, gyms in Chicago,
Louiville, Lexington, and Cincinatti. There is suppose to be one in
Indy soon. Outdoors there is Unlikely Wall just south of Bloomington
(where I live), a wall in Ohio (haven't been there), southern IL
(haven't been there either), the Red River Gorge in KY, TN wall,
Seneca Rocks and the New River Gorge in WV.

Where do you live/climb,...
I live in Portland Oregon, I just started climbing this month,.

Subj: Re: Rock Climbing anyone?

Logs, what are the logs?

Subj: RE: Rock Climbing anyone?

I rock climb. The mountains are few and far between in Indiana. I
don't know of a list dedicated to rock climbing. I would hope that
this list would be open to such discussions.

Subj: Logs

RE: logs
This listserv archives the discussions into files or logs on roughly a
monthly basis. Your can send a request to the Listserv to get the logs.
You address the request the same as was done to subscribe to the list.
Instead of saying Subscribe Mount-l firstname lastname, type
index mount-l

The index shows about 30 logs that can be requested. Past conversations
provide a wealth of information in some cases and less in others.

I live in Baltimore, MD. Most of my climbing is done at Seneca Rocks,
WVa or in NC (number of spots). Looking toward winter climbs now.

You? Where do you climb mostly?

Hi, I live in New South Wales - Australia, and have mostly climbed locally
(so far). I also look forward to more discussion on this relativelt quiet
list. By the way what is 'newsgroup rec.climbing'?
