Willie Be Ware!
I've always been amazed that more people haven't been killed up on Longs in
the winter. Its easy to get up to 12000 feet only to get caught in +100 mph
winds with few options for retreat and potentially no shelter. In fact,
the entire range, down throught the Indian Peaks, is usually windy. Add to
that the thrill of very sub zero temps in the winter! Enjoy but prepare!
Lets se... plans for the spring include another attempt on Shuksan in the
North Cascades.... with hopefully better weather, and nice warm temps! ;)
