Hi Willie,

North Face tents must be extremely good, but you might consider some European
brands also. I really think that Hilleberg and Fjall Raven (both are Swedish)
tents are quite good, of course they are also very expensive. I have friends
who regularly go to a national park way up north in Sweden (the name is Sarek).
They usually experience severe bad weather (high winds, cold, snow, etc.) and
they are always satisfied with the performance of their tents.
From Fjall Raven they only recommend Foxlite (excellent for 2 persons and only
weighs about 2.1 kilos), from Hilleberg practicly anything. Hilleberg tents
usually cost over 1000 DM (that is German Marks), while the Foxlite is around
700 DM.
But I'm not sure if you can get them in the U.S.
