Subj: Mountaineers, with a capital M

I'm a new list subscriber and a rookie mountaineer (20 years old). I
live in Washington state and am interested in joining the Mountaineers
Society and possibly taking mountaineering classes with them. Can
anyone who's a member already fill me in on the pros and cons of both
membership and the basic mountaineering courses? Also, any general
advice for someone just starting out? Much obliged...
