The closest rockclimbing to Indy that I know of from experience
is probably France Park in Logansport. There is probably some near
Bloomington but I don't know the area well enough.
France Park's rock varies in quality from the absolutely
horrible to OK. Mostly limestone and some sandstone. There are
some natural outcrops and lots of abandoned quarry stuff. Climbing
above the lake can be real interesting.
Routes tend to be short and because of the problems with
protection most people toprope.
