What I do for extended trips is get some disposables from my optician. I used to where them all the time but I have an astigmatism that disposables can't correct. Its not bad but I'd rather have 'perfect' vision day to day and put up with the inconvenience of daily wear lenses. However, for trips camping, especially if mountaineering (fancy cleaning lenses after an exhausting day and its below freezing at 18,000ft?) then the disposables are ideal as they only need to be changed weekly. Some people day that altitude can dehydrate lenses and make them uncomfortable but I can't say I've had any problems. Neil
