Most of my ice climbing has been on sunny days usually cold, but I remember a 50 F (10 C) day. At 50 F I was climbing slush and soaking wet even with Gore-Tex everything, but it was still fun. Termites don't bother me at all. They don't bite. They just crawl around. Wasps are another story. I really don't like wasps. Willie
