My friend and I will drive from Hermosillo on the Pacific coast across the Sierra Madre to Copper Canyon. We'll spend about 3-4 days in the area. Any suggestions on good trails? camping hints? Is there any snow at that time? Are there lots of people or can we expect it to be fairly deserted? What about the roads to get there? We'll also be crossing over to Texas and on to Big Bend National Park for 3-4 days. What about camping, hiking, maybe kayaking in the Rio Grande (what about renting kayaks?). What about snow on high peaks (thinking of Emery)? what about crowds? Also, since we're driving from Montreal,Canada, (no, no, we're not crazy... yet!), we'd like to hear any suggestions on interesting spots to visit along the way. (I'm not asking for museums...). So far, we've planned stops at White Sands - NM, Chiricahua - AZ, Hot Springs near Little Rock - AK and Mammuth Caves. Finally, since Montreal is already covered with snow, we're thinking about a nice sandy, secluded beach with warm crashing waves... Any suggestions for the Hermosillo area? We've read about Kino, but it seems to be rather touristy... Manon Belzile ep34826@pwc.utc.com PS - Infinity is the limit.
