Subject: Mountaineering group organization

Hello:

Since this list is still alive, I'd like to hear from those who practice
mountaineering in groups where the members are not always the same, i.e. school
or university groups, or in easy access clubs, about the organization of the
trips.
I've heard about groups where the single unit is a person, I mean, this person
walks among the group but acually he/she goes alone.
In our group, the single unit is a sub-group of 4 or 5 persons who work
together in certain activities (like cooking and others).

Both are oposittes points of view of the same subject...I'd like to know what
pattern do you guys use, and the edperiences you have get of the practice of ea
ch one.

Greetings,
Jaime A. Bonilla
