Uhhh... wait just a cotton pickin minute there Patrick -d to go

Winter camping in Vermont (or New England for that matter) can
be a bitterly cold experience and it is quite possible to die of
exposure... the weather can change from mild conditions to below
zero to wet and rainy very quickly. I would recommend using the
AMC (Appalachian Mountain Club) huts located in the White
Mountains in New Hampshire, which provide a dry, relatively warm
place to sleep and cook. I have crossed country skiied and
snow-shoed to these huts... for more info contact the AMC or the
National Forest Service in the White Mountains.
